With the New Year approaching us within a couple days, one might think what is there to look forward in The New Year of 2019. Love? New music? New fashion trends? Well, these are all great guesses but some people look forward to what is premiering on TV this year. Today, I would like to tell you what shows are coming back to grace us with their presence in January 2019.
If you’re looking for a series to watch instead heading out to a New Year’s Day party then look no further. A Series of Unfortunate Events is a Netflix Original about three orphans who are investigating their own parent’s deaths. However, the siblings are soon placed in the care of their evil guardian named Count Olaf. If this series seems interesting to you, then season three of A Series of Unfortunate Events is set to premiere on Tuesday, January 1st.
If laughing more was put on your New Year’s resolution, then you’re in luck because of
Grown-ish has been officially renewed for season two, which is going to premiere on Wednesday, January 2nd. Our main character Zoey Johnson, the older daughter of the Johnson family from Black-ish, is currently navigating her way through college an experiencing a new thing called adulthood.
Calling Bachelor Nation! If you haven’t heard: season 23 of the bachelor is starting on Monday, January 7th at 8 pm central time. Everyone needs to grab their snacks and favorite blankets, and have their tv’s turned to ABC. This new season has Colton Underwood as the bachelor of this season. Personally, speaking my friends and I will be watching, will you?
Now, if you are looking for a show to most likely blow your mind, have multiple twist and turns, and have crime elements that involve murder then HBO’s True Detective is the pick for you. Season three is centered around detective Wayne Hays and his partner Roland West, as they investigate a gruesome crime involving two missing children. This story is going to be told throughout three different time periods within the show. True Detective set to premiere on Sunday, January 13th at 9 pm.
This next show is personally one of my favorite and can’t wait to watch the rest of season nine which is Showtime’s Shameless. This series follows the ups and downs of the Gallagher family and how they survive in the Southside of Chicago. However, people are wondering what is going to happen to the family once their old sister Fiona Gallagher leaves them. If you haven’t heard lead actress Emmy Rossum, announced season nine will be her last season on the show. Along with her on-screen brother Cameron Monaghan. But don’t be sad, even though we are down two Gallagher children this season, will still follow these characters life until, the end. Which you can tune in and watch on Sunday, January 20th at 9 pm.
