As a college student and a working girl, every day can be a busy one. Rushing out the door without breakfast or without packing a lunch can become a normal routine. However, I am here to share some of my favorite quick-and-easy snacks for busy gals like you and me. Some of these snacks are healthy, while others satisfy your sweet tooth on the days you deserve it!
The first easy-to-make snack is crackers and peanut butter. I personally like making mini-sandwiches out of Ritz and Jif and putting them in a Ziploc bag. This is super easy to do as you go out the door or you can premake them the night before!
Sticking with the peanut butter subject, another healthy snack is apple slices with peanut butter. A regular apple is great too, especially if you need to grab and go, but if time allows, I love dipping slices in peanut butter (or caramel, if you’re feeling extra). Any easy-to-peel fruit besides apples — such as bananas or oranges — are great for when you’re in a rush and need something quick as well.
Next on my list is granola bars. My absolute favorite granola bars are the Sunbelt brand they sell at Target, Wal-mart, and Kroger. They have an arrangement of plain and chocolate covered ones. Belvita is another brand that makes healthier, energizing bars. Any kind of granola bar is easy because they’re already packaged up. Just grab one and head out! They can be a simple breakfast or a snack for later in the day.
Carrots with ranch is another easy snack that you can take with you each day. The carrots make me believe I’m eating somewhat healthy. Plus, who doesn’t love ranch?
Lastly, one of my favorite snacks is graham crackers and Nutella. It’s definitely the least healthy on the list but satisfies those cravings for sweets that I too often get. You could also try making mini-sandwiches with Ritz and Nutella to get that perfect balance of salty and sweet!
I hope this gave you some new snack ideas to try or helped you decide what to bring with you on your busy day tomorrow! Life can get hectic and not having time to eat breakfast is common for college students. Now you have some ideas for a yummy, quick snack that can make life a little less crazy!
