As a college student, it can be very difficult to find ways of staying healthy during the semester. It is important that you find ways to keep your body healthy because the stress of college life can take a toll on your body if you let it.
There are many different things that you can do to give your body what it needs to get through the day. However, you need to experiment to find what works with your lifestyle. This year I started experimenting with what I could do to make myself feel better without stressing myself out with money, time or missing food. Through this, I found that smoothies were a healthy alternative to breakfast and also a great way to start off the mornings.
You can make a smoothie with a variety of ingredients that are specialized to your taste and health needs. This is what I put in my smoothies.
1 Banana
1 cup of Frozen strawberries and frozen mixed berries
1 tablespoon Flaxseeds
1 tablespoon Chia seeds
1 scoop of Amazing Grass Green Superfood Powder (2 servings of vegetables)
Water or coconut water as needed
I have learned that these ingredients are the ones that work best for me. I make a smoothie every morning and it is just as — or even more — filling than any breakfast I used to eat. Plus, it is delicious and includes more fruits and vegetables than I use to get in a whole day. You can make it in the morning, or prepare it the night before and leave it in the fridge if that works easier with your schedule.
You might try this out and not love the smoothie life. If that is the case, you should experiment with other small things that you can do to improve your health!
