During the Winter, how many times have you been stoked about your outfit but then realized no one is going to see it anyway because you have to wear a coat throughout the whole event?
We have all been there, probably too many times to count. For this very reason, statement coats are one of my favorite things to throw my money at! While it is good to have your basics, and of course a giant parka for those blizzard days that you just HAVE to get out (I'm looking at you, UK, thanks for being consistent and never canceling), it is also important to have a small collection of statement coats that match your varying style.
Some days, I dress a little more preppy, and some days, a bit edgy. It all depends on my mood. I want to share with you all my favorite coats for my more constant styles: feminine, fun, classic, and bold.
FEMININE
Add a pop of pink to your coat closet, and don’t be afraid of a print! The finger-tip length Salient Style Wool Coat from Modcloth features three-dimensional white dots on a blush base. It keeps me warm without weighing me down and is so easy to throw on with a pair of jeans to dress up a more casual outfit. The crop style pairs well with literally anything. I have worn mine over maxi dresses, mini dresses, jumpsuits, and just about everything in my closet. I cannot rave enough about it! And it comes in green, navy, and red as well.
CLASSIC

This is going to be my go-to Holiday party coat. It is a whole look in itself and will only add to the glitz of my party outfits!

Leopard print NEVER goes out of style, people. This year we are seeing it even more in the fashion and textiles industry, and I am all about it! I recently purchased a faux fur lilac leopard print coat from a boutique that fits the bill for being bold, but I couldn’t find it online to share with you all.
