Budget Friendly Activities For Spring

If you’re like me and you’re always looking for something to do, but you don’t want to blow your budget here are some Budget-friendly activities you can do in and around campus and Lexington!

1. Hiking

This one is great if you are a gym buff, but you want to step outside as well. Kentucky is full of many different types of hiking and they have different levels of hiking too. You don’t have to be an expert to go, all you need is some tennis shoes you’re not upset about getting dirty and a friend.

2. Thursday Night Live

As someone who loves music, this is my favorite one, and also if you aren’t 21. It’s actually free to go to, and it’s not far from campus so you don’t even need a car. If you’re like me and you like concerts, but they are too expensive then this is perfect for you!

3. Have A Photo Shoot With Your Friends

Instagram is bigger than ever and everybody loves a good photo shoot. Lexington has a lot of fun places to go do a photo shoot in. All you need is an outfit out of your closet and a couple of friends.

4. Have A Picnic

This is great for a first date, and it’s not super expensive either. Especially on the days where it’s cool and sunny heading to the arboretum and having a picnic is a great way to get to know someone.

5. Plan A Scavenger Hunt

Get a group of friends and plan out a scavenger hunt to stop by all your favorite places. Whether the book store, a coffee shop or park, it doesn’t take much to put this together just someone with a good mind for a puzzle. You don’t even need to leave campus to do this, it leaves room for your imagination.

Hopefully, these activities will bring some fun with the weeks to come this spring!
