What to watch this Christmas

I am confident in saying that I am an expert when it comes to all things Christmas. Here is my selection of my all-time favorite Christmas movies (in no particular order because that would be like choosing my favorite child.)

  1. The Polar Express (2004)

Don't even get me started on my many Polar Express theories. My biggest flex in life is that I think I am the only person to ever notice Santa's face appearing in the bell at the end of the film (see video below) then transform into five standing figures (Tom Hanks plays five different roles in this movie . . . so do what you want with that information.)

2. Elf (2003)

If someone comes up to me and tells me to recite every word of this movie or they shoot. . . call and ambulance, call an ambulance. . . but not for me. (TikTok reference for those who do not know)

3. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)

"That's a real nice tree, Clark."

4. Four Christmases (2008)

The funniest Christmas movie of all time. Also can not get better than Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn.

5. The Santa Clause series (1994-2004)

In my opinion, the second film is the best but you can't really go wrong.

6. Eloise at Christmastime (2003)

A legend. An icon.

7. Arthur Christmas (2011)

Not many people have seen Arthur Christmas but it is an absolute masterpiece of a movie.

8. Home Alone (1990 & 1992)

"A large cheese pizza. Just for me."

9. Fred Claus (2007)

I want to marry Vince Vaughn, so I'll admit this is part of the reason it made the list.

10. The Holiday (2006)

Jack Black 4ever.

11. Love Actually (2003)

I will never forgive Alan Rickman's character.

12. A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)

Had to go with the classic to start off the Christmas specials.

13. Prep and Landing (2009 & 2011)

Convinced whoever wrote this script is a genius.

14. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964)

Honestly all claymations kind of feel like a fever dream to me, but you gotta love them.

15. Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town (1985)

"Put One Foot in Front of the Other" will forever go hard.
