New Holiday Collections by Gal Meets Glam and Draper James

Updated: Nov 9, 2020

It’s the most wonderful time of the yearrrr!

That’s right! The holidays are just around the corner, and I am one of those over-the-top, Hallmark-loving, Jingle-Bells-singing people that get in the spirit on November 1st. My level of enthusiasm is not for the faint of heart – I get it.

Whether you are already celebrating or waiting until after Thanksgiving, there is one holiday event we can all come together to celebrate right now: the release of holiday collections from your favorite brands. (Or at least mine!)

Gal Meets Glam and Draper James, both pioneered by true southern women, are two of my favorite brands to follow.

Gal Meets Glam reflects Julia Engel’s Charleston charm, whereas Draper James embodies Reese Witherspoon’s Tennessee timelessness.

Both have released their holiday-inspired collections, so I am over here ready to spend every dime I have to stuff my closet with the loveliest pieces for all the holiday parties I probably won’t be invited to anyway.

The new “Holiday Capsule Collection” from Gal Meets Glam Collection is dripping in femininity and elegance. With hints of sparkle, true reds and bows being major elements of the collection, it exudes the holiday spirit.

The Diana dress is very eye-catching, covered in silver sequins and featuring dainty ruffles and bows, making it the perfect option for NYE! The dress I have my eye on is Callista, a shimmering pink with a draped neckline, flutter sleeves and a ruffle hem. I plan to show up and show out in my grandmother’s living room for Thanksgiving this year in the Callista dress!

Draper James’ “Home for the Holidays” collection has all the plaid you could possibly want in the form of dresses, tops, skirts, pajamas, and accessories. While I adore the whole brand, a few of the pieces are just a little too preppy for my style, but the rich velvet and dainty embroidery that makes up a portion of the line makes me swoon.

The most notable piece is the Collection Embroidered Tulle Dress with its flounce sleeves and romantic floral design. Check out the “Home for the Holidays” collection by Draper James.

So even if you have yet to decorate your whole house as I have, it is never too early to plan your party outfits! 'Tis the season, y’all!
