As we’ve entered April, spring has officially sprung, and it’s bringing all of the color and fun. To me, spring is the perfect time to get out all the pastels, and patterns and dress more feminine. Whether it’s a “micro” trend or a springtime staple, It’s time to break down the up-and-coming trends for this spring.

Butter Yellow
Butter yellow has officially been named the color of the season. Or at least on TikTok. This color is the newest trend, just in time for spring. Even Kitchen Aid released their newest mixer in butter yellow.
Although I have seen a lot of controversy surrounding the trend, many people saying it’s just a trend that they won’t waste their money and fall for, I can’t help but think; hasn't butter yellow really always been around when it comes to spring?
I think it is a perfect springtime color, a staple pastel. I think yellow is perfect for a maxi dress in the spring, a simple yellow tank with jeans or a yellow cardigan sweater for the chillier days.
Polka Dots
Never get rid of your clothes because they’ll be back in style before you know it! That’s what my mom always tells me and honestly, she is right. Polka dots are back and I don’t know how to feel about it.
They’re fun, sweet and can make an outfit adorable but like any trend, they can be overdone. Although I already feel somewhat tired of polka dots, I think they make for adorable going-out tops, maxi dresses or a set of nails.
Pastels
Like any other spring, you have to include pastels. Black takes up probably 75% of my closet so this one is hard for me. However, I do love the look of lighter colors in the spring and I love being able to bring out all my pinks, purples and yellows.
Pastels make the prettiest dresses and the cutest blouses.
Button-Ups
The “Martha Stewart” aesthetic has officially taken over and I am here for it this spring. The linen shirts and pastel button-ups are a spring must-have this year.
Tucked into jeans, over a swimsuit, with some linen pants or matching shorts a button-up can be dressed up, down or just thrown over an outfit.
This might be my favorite trend this spring and although they have been popular for a while now, I see them becoming even more of a staple as we move into spring.
