As a college student, life can be anything but simple. Nothing is to be expected as young adults venture into the realm of adulthood. Although the thought can be unsettling, kind of like the feeling you get when you're going up a rollercoaster, it can be exhilarating as well. I don't know about you, but nothing makes me happier than my five-minute venture to my favorite local coffee store in Lex. Surrounding myself with my favorite places and people is what I have learned I truly love most. Learning that life is about the little things is a really huge eye-opener.

Routines establish the admiration of the little things in life. Waking up, rolling over and turning on your favorite morning playlist. Dancing in the shower and doing your most refreshing morning routine. Always put on your favorite red lipstick to feel like the badass you are. Go to your favorite little coffee shop in the city and sip on an iced vanilla oat milk latte. You have the whole day ahead of you. Your possibilities are endless and you never know what you may learn in the day. Every single morning we wake up and have no idea what could be in store for us, take advantage of that. You may end up changing the world today.

But remember, even for a second, to breathe. Take the time you deserve and need to love yourself. Find what makes you the happiest and hold onto it, for some days may be the best days of your life, while other days may be cruel in which you wish to never remember. However, we must remember to find the beauty within all of the madness that the world may bring, like the simplicity of an iced oat milk latte on a rainy winter Wednesday. So get up, roll over, jam out. Find your red lipstick. Find what makes you feel like a badass. The new day can bring so much; live it to its fullest extent always.
