Skincare essentials in college

I’ve always been very passionate about self-care and keeping my skin healthy; I even hope to one day work in a field where I can express my love for skincare and help others feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Here are some skincare essentials for me that could maybe help you or simply inspire a new self-care night at home.



1. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser + Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash


These two go hand in hand with each other, and I use them every morning. I have pretty sensitive skin, so I’ve found that this cleanser does the job to wake me up in the morning and make me feel refreshed. I use the regular face wash most days, then I use the exfoliating face wash about once or twice a week. Other than smelling AMAZING, they have several properties to keep your skin healthy and feeling good without making your skin feel dry.






2. Balatone Calming Toner pH Balancer


This toner is seriously life-saving. For a long time, I didn’t use toner, let alone know what it was, but once I started using Balatone I noticed a huge difference. My face was much more balanced. I use it mainly on my T-zone to keep my skin from getting too oily day and night after washing my face. Ever since, my skin has been less oily overall!








3. Xceler8 Vitamin C & Shea Daily Hydrator


I never realized how important it was to not only feed yourself vitamins daily but your skin too! I use this serum after my toner, and I truly believe it pulls my whole skincare routine together. It has moisturizing and cell-stimulating agents and it is very lightweight, so you don’t feel like you’re putting something heavy on your skin for the day. It’s also recommended for all skin types!





4. Ramona Cline Vitamin B Serum


This is another serum I like to use, except I use this one at night. Not for any particular reason; maybe because of the deep blue color of the bottle, but I like to put as many vitamins on my skin as possible. This one is hydrating and soothing. It is also light sensitive, so I would personally recommend it at night so you don’t expose yourself to any sun damage.







5. Beauty Infusion Cleansing Clay Mask


This is for all my self-care queens! If you are on the hunt for a good, relaxing face mask, this is the one. It has charcoal and probiotics which are extremely great for boosting your skin's elasticity and cleansing your pores. It is dermatologist-tested, and I personally love anything charcoal because I feel so clean and refreshed afterward. I recommend this one with your favorite Netflix show and a hot bath.
