From the beginning of the 2010s, when every preteen girl’s room was filled with Justin Bieber merch (at least mine was), to 2026, where those same girls are now adults still infatuated with Justin Bieber’s timelessness.
Bieber has run the male pop scene for nearly two decades now, and it seems as though people will never get bored with him, including me.
In July 2025, Bieber surprised-released his highly anticipated album, “Swag.” Songs like “Yukon” and “Daisies,” both of which are dedicated to his wife, Hailey, gained traction quickly.
Many people have compared “Swag” to his 2013 album, “Journals,” which is heavily R&B-centered.
Shortly after this release, Bieber released a part two in September, titled “Swag II.”
These two releases are now often classified as one project, which is Bieber’s seventh studio album.
Many fans are waiting for a true pop comeback from Bieber for his eighth studio album, which has been rumored to come this year.
Although nothing is confirmed, recent activity and upcoming events for Bieber hint toward a possible 2026 release, accompanied by a potential stadium tour.
Many trustworthy music sources, such as Puck News, and an ominous update on Bieber’s website, stating “big improvements” behind the scenes, have recently hinted at a late summer or fall United States and Latin America tour for Bieber.
In September, after the release of “Swag II,” the famous California music festival, Coachella, announced its lineup for April 2026, where Bieber will be headlining Saturday for both weekends.
This will be his return to live shows in front of fans, with his last real tour being in 2022 for his album, “Justice.”
Fans were already ecstatic about Bieber headlining Coachella, but his recent performance at the 2026 Grammys in February made waves on social media, leading to people questioning what his set will entail.
At the Grammys, Bieber gave the ultimate stripped-down acoustic performance of his song, “Yukon,” which is originally pitched up.
He sang the song in his real voice, wearing just boxers and socks. He spent the first minute of his set using a looper pedal to build the beat and throughout the performance, he had no backup vocals, dancers or fancy set.
Social media raved about the performance, crediting his vulnerability in an industry that has exposed him to intense pressure and a major struggle with mental health.
The performance highlighted his vocal talent and made it clear to everyone that it is the one thing the industry cannot take away from him.
Bieber has had an exciting start to 2026 with more to come. In my opinion, fans should definitely stay on the lookout for a tour or album announcement in the future and watch his Coachella performance come April.
