Over the past few years, Instagram has become a place to shop. I am always looking for new brands to follow and support, but I have also been trying to shop more consciously.
CHNGE is one of the clothing brands I discovered while on this mission. They are a sustainable clothing brand and activism Instagram account. Their clothing is carbon neutral, they use sustainable fabrics, and a portion of every sale made is donated to a different charitable organization. They are constantly updating their online store with new designs and supporting different organizations.
They have supported different movements over the years such as fighting climate change, women empowerment, bringing people clean drinking water, education, and civil rights. Currently, the only thing on their shop is their Black Lives Matter collection where 100% of the profits are being donated to the Black Lives Matter Movement.
They have already raised over $150,000 and the profits are being evenly donated to Change of Color, The Loveland Foundation, Campaign Zero, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Black Lives Matter and the Equal Justice Initiative.
The CHNGE Instagram is constantly filled with activism and spreading awareness for the issues in our world that need our attention. They created a place for people to learn and educate themselves on what is happening and why we need to listen. There are direct links on their website to each organization they have supported, where you can see what they do and donate directly to them as well.
Not only are they making clothes with profits going directly back into our communities, but the clothes themselves are extremely high quality. The material is super soft and feels so much better than something you would get at Forever 21. You can feel all of the hard work put into the brand, stitched into the fabric. All of their designs are related to the organizations they support and they all have an important message to share.
Especially now, it’s extremely important to support the organizations that CHNGE strives to help. Buying their products is a great way to donate money and also get something for yourself. I couldn’t think of a better way to start shopping more consciously.
