Behind KRNL: Abbey Purcell, Digital Editor

It's always popping on the KRNL social media platforms, and we only have our highly skilled digital editor to thank for that. Responsible for all the fun "This or That" polls we post on our Instagram page and the BTS videos, vlogs and tutorials we post on the YouTube channel, the digital editor manages all of our socials and makes sure it's always an enjoyable experience interacting with your favorite collegiate lifestyle and fashion magazine (that's us!) online! Now that our former D.E. Lauren Suchanek has graduated and will sadly be moving on from KRNL, it's time we introduced you guys to our next digital editor, who we know will just as great of a job! Meet Abbey Purcell, our next digital editor!

Introduce yourself!

Hi!! I am Abbey Purcell and I am from Cleveland, Ohio. I am a junior with a double major in digital media and design and political science. I am the digital editor for KRNL.

How did you first get involved with KRNL?

I first got involved with KRNL as the digital assistant! I found KRNL's Instagram and thought it was such a cool opportunity, so I applied!

What's your favorite part about getting involved with KRNL?

My favorite part about working with KRNL is expressing my creative side while getting to meet and work with so many awesome people!

Do you have a favorite memory during your time with KRNL that stands out to you?

My fondest memory of working with KRNL was the most recent magazine launch. It was the first time everyone was all together in person!

What other interests/hobbies do you have outside of KRNL?

I love fashion, art and design. I am a creative person and I love to express that side of me! I am the PR and marketing exec member for my sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. I am a huge matcha lover and thrifting addict.

What is your favorite place you've ever traveled to?

The favorite place I have traveled to has to be Turks and Caicos. There is nothing better than warm weather and a beach!

Who are some of your fashion/lifestyle inspirations? In other words, who do you look up to?

I love Emma Chamberlain, Bella Hadid and Zendaya. Style goals.

What are you looking forward to this year regarding KRNL as our newest digital editor?

I would love to keep our socials aesthetic, entertaining and fun!!
