Why Blondes Should Go Ash Blonde

Blonde, beach blonde, white-blonde, dirty-blonde, yellow-blonde, blonde highlights, baby blonde, and now there's ash blonde. Many people aren't even quite sure what ash blonde is. (If you are one of those people, don't worry... I've attached pictures for you to browse.

Personally, I have always had a cool touch of blonde natural highlights with a slight hint of dirty blonde peeking out around my roots. My hair is long and comes down to my hips. The longer my hair, the blonder it becomes. However, I must admit that I was growing tired of the basic look. I wanted to do something drastic, but I wasn't quite sure what to do. When I went home one weekend for my parents birthdays, I decided to go to my hair stylist and ask for her advice. She then gave me two words... ash blonde.

"Ash blonde?" I thought to myself. I had heard of it a few times before from when I worked at a salon as a receptionist in high school, but I wasn't able to match the name with a picture. I asked her a few questions about it, and every answer she gave me matched perfectly with what I was desiring my hair to look like. I had never done any color to my hair other than blonde highlights and was nervous my long hair would be ruined. However, I decided to take a leap of faith and say "yes" to the mysterious ash blonde color.

As I sat in the salon chair for around 2 hours with a whole box of sparkly tin foil around my entire head, I explored Pinterest and looked at the hundreds of different colors of ash blonde. I was so excited that I hardly couldn't wait to see my reveal.

The last wet spot on my locks had been blow-dried, the wand was cooled down, and my hair stylist took a sigh of relief, "All done!" she exclaimed.

I was so happy with the results, and you would be too.

If you're feeling adventurous, go ash blonde. I promise you will NOT be disappointed.
