July 19th, 1943. This was the day of the first-ever New York Fashion Week (NYFW).

I don’t remember the first time I learned about fashion week, but I would like to have imagined I was 12 or so watching "The Devil Wears Prada" and my appetite for fashion growing insatiable. Nowadays I like to distract myself from thinking about adulting by watching NYFW and endlessly scrolling through old articles of Man Repeller and new articles of WWW. But what do I find when I am scrolling through social media during this week? None other than the Ashton Day.

Now, this might sound like an ordinary name to you. That’s because it is... well, it was until this morning. Ashton Day was a girl I went to high school with, and although we did not hang out with the same crowd, I couldn’t tell you how stoked I was to see her on that Michael Kors runway. That’s right! She walked for the Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2021 NYFW runway! I have been fangirling over it for the past hour! I am so excited for her and can’t wait to see where she goes next. It just goes to show that you can literally do anything, guys!

Chase dreams, even if they seem crazy!

Cheers,

Kaitlyn
